Home to Home Golf - Club location varies
Home to Home is a great opportunity for you to play at other area clubs (Club Corp and others) and have a chance to meet fun and interesting people. Each year on a rotational basis, up to eight clubs will host play. This year River Creek is hosting on July 21st. The hosting club determines its own format with lunch afterwards and optional opportunities at registration for raffle tickets, closest to the pin, magic putts, etc. Usually, six people will be invited from each club so sign up early! This year we are including two alternate spots should the hosting club allow more than six people to attend. NEW! You are welcome to sign up online on the WGA website (40 handicap or less). There is an entry fee for each tournament if you would like to play. Your cart fee and optional lunch are charged back to the club. For more information, please contact Bitsy Sandusky almasandusky@gmail.com and Debbie Raine dlr1650@gmail.com
Career Woman Golf- Interclub - Club location varies
This is a weekend league set up over 23 years ago to generally give working women the opportunity to play some competitive social golf with members of other league clubs who may not have the opportunity to play during the week. There are roughly 10-14 clubs that participate each year with two divisions. While the intent is for the working woman, retirees and part time workers are always welcome to participate. We have four women play at home and four women play away, in two-person teams with handicaps in a match play environment. The 19th hole is standard fare with light appetizers and drinks offered by the host team at each club to network and build new relationships. There are typically 5 matches during the course of the summer. If you are interested in participating, please reach out to this year’s coordinator, Anne Lord anne@annelordphotography.com
Women’s District of Columbia Golf Association (WDCGA) – Club location varies
The WDCGA is a non-profit amateur golf association with 32 member clubs throughout the Greater Washington Metropolitan area. To become a member, you must have a current handicap index of 21.9 or lower, be a member of a recognized women’s golf association within your club and have posted at least 20 active-season scores within the past year. The WDCGA sponsors 25-30 tournaments each year. As a member of the WDCGA you are eligible to participate in many of these tournaments for a nominal fee (often just the cart fee).
